NEIL COULON

     Stepping out into the spotlight is Los Angeles based singer, songwriter, and multi instrumentalist Neil Coulon. With his mix of Rock, R&B, and Dance, his new single 10,000 Miles will be released August 1st.

      His musical journey began  in the Boston area. Most notably his time spent with the indie rock  band 27 (twenty27seven.bandcamp.com).  Playing drums and clarinet on the three albums Animal Life, Let The Light In, and Holding On For Brighter Days. Touring the world from Japan to Iceland, and all over Europe playing shows and festivals with such  luminaries as Robert Plant, Salif Keita, Mastodon, and Mia Doi Todd. 

     After leaving 27 he moved to Brooklyn and was part of the world/R&B project COULON. Switching to guitar full time he composed the music for the album COULON Salon. Recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn with 8 time Grammy nominated producer Joel Hamilton. The album is lush and colorful with a variety of shimmering instrumentation. Coulon had the honor of sharing the stage with Living Colour, Meshell Ndegeocello, Joan As Police Woman, Morley, and Imani Uzuri.They played annually at The Blue Note NYC as part of the Late Night Groove Series. They also had a month long residency at Baz Bar on the island of Saint Barts.

    In June of 2023 he scored the theme song for the radio show Reality Check with Tonya Pendleton. You can hear "The Pendleton" Monday's, Tuesday's and Wednesday's on WURD Radio 96.1FM/900AM  Philadelphia and on www.wurdradio.com.

   In March 0f 2024 Neil graduated from Musicians Institute in Los Angeles with a certificate in the Independent Artist program.
